Hi all. Hope everyone had a great Christmas day and will enjoy a new year eve tomorrow evening! We stayed home and had family over with friends visiting on Boxing Day too!Today is still pretty hot so I had a swim at the local beach. A bit choppy but great! Felt like a beached whale tho..after all the eats during the festive season! They are forecasting 40 degrees on Sunday. Too hot to paint! Will try and get back into a work mode in the new year.

Hi all. I have just registered a site for next years Clean Up Australia. Check the website and join us on March 6th!

Also have a petition open at the moment to preserve and restore, heritage list and install ALL the Le Buse sculptures in a "central Park" Heritage Sculpture Park on a section of the Old Atlantis Marine Park land( where the labyrinth of paths and waterfeatures were). If you live in the area, please sign these. You can find them in the Two Rocks PO and Chemist, as well as the Mini Mart.

A few weeks ago I was lucky to do an art workshop for the North Coast Art Club at Moore River. It was a great stay up there and enjoyed by all.

saving the cockies

This picture shows the pink and greys in my backyard!

Seems like ages since I last posted a blog! I recently had the opportunity to go up to the Black Cockatoo rehabilitation centre in the Perth hills. It was agreat day learning how to rescue these comical birds that are being endangered by development. We spent a few hours with the birds which sat snuggling up to our faces so docile and endearing:we learned how to handle them in emergency, feed, etc and had a tour of the facility there which also houses roos (red and grey) a,Dingoes and other wild fowl. I fell instantly in love with the cockies, and vowed to leave a donation to this centre on my passing as it is not funded by any Government office.

Hi all. So much development going on around Yanchep and Two Rocks! Seems we are losing all the native bush and replacing it with housing due to the mining boom over here. The election is nearly upon us and so far the policies are not clear between the 2 main parties.Hard to decide who to go with. They are all crooks anyway. Im busy with community issues and of course my artwork. Some good shows coming up!
